Victoria Glendinning gives a rare talk to discuss her Whitbread Prize award winning biography of Vita Sackville West. As the most prominent authority on Vita, Victoria offers unique insights into Vita’s life, loves and writing, Victoria will also reveal working with Nigel Nicolson – what he did and did not want included in the book – her contact with Vita’s former lovers and many unusual anecdotes she has never previously discussed.

Victoria Glendinning CBE is an award winning biographer and novelist. Her subjects have included Edith Sitwell, Rebecca West, Leonard Woolf, Anthony Trollope and Sir Stamford Raffles. Victoria is a Vice-President of the Royal Society of Literature, and a Trustee of the Man Booker Foundation. She is godson to Vita’s great grandson Ben.
